I got the chance to work out with Chalene Johnson in Dana Pt, CA last October at a Beachbody event. She introduced Turbo Fire to us in a group workout outdoors. Between the slippery grass and the super bright sun that was shining in my eyes, I have to say that I kind of struggled through the 45 minute workout. I was familiar with both Turbo Jam and Insanity moves, and Turbo Fire seemed to be a combination of both, but at a super fast tempo. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the workout when it came out.
On June 18, Beachbody finally released the full workout, and being a Beachbody Fanatic, I bought it, knowing that I could return it within 30 days if I didn’t like it.
Well, it’s been well over 30 days, and nobody’s taking my Turbo Fire away from me! I absolutely love it! I love that there’s a New to Class option, so you can learn the steps slowly before you go into hyper speed. It only took about 2 times doing that option before I felt comfortable enough to skip right to the workout. I love that she has Alee showing modifications all the way through. And the music is just off the hook fun!!!
Today I did Core 20, which is 20 minutes of really creative core movements, some using the band. Oh, that’s another thing I love, that there are workouts from 10-60 minutes, so I can do whatever I have time for. And today, I only had time for 20 minutes, but I got a great workout in. Time for a shower!
